Can I Cancel A Health Club Membership?
For some types of contracts you have three days to cancel, but for others, you’re stuck with contract terms. There are several federal and state laws called “cooling-off rules” designed to protect consumers from decisions they may have been pressured into. In some states, you may cancel contracts for health club memberships, dating services, dance or martial arts lessons, time-share properties, and weight loss programs within the cooling off period.
Unless you have been given a specific right to cancel within your contract, it would be prudent to contact an attorney for legal advice should you wish to cancel. Protect yourself and your good credit so that credit repair is not a necessity at some future date.
