Can I Cancel A Contract Within The First Three Days?
For some types of contracts you have three days to cancel, but for others, you’re stuck with contract terms. There are several federal and state laws called “cooling-off rules” designed to protect consumers from decisions they may have been pressured into. They primarily apply to door-to-door and trade show sales, contracts for home equity loans, or mail order or Internet purchases delayed in shipping. In some states, you may cancel contracts for health club memberships, dating services, dance or martial arts lessons, time-share properties, and weight loss programs within the cooling off period.
Unless you have been given a specific three day right to cancel within your contract, it would be prudent to contact an attorney for legal advice should you wish to cancel. Protect yourself and your clean credit.
